Ways to Give

The Purdue Phi Delta Theta Annual Fund

Alumni contributions are at the heart of everything we do. Our alumni communications, events, and support for the chapter all rely on gifts to our annual fund. As alumni, we play a critical role in making sure our chapter lives on. Your gift makes a significant impact on these efforts. Please give generously to the annual fund using any of these methods. Once we’ve processed your donation, you’ll be recognized on this year’s Honor Roll of Donors!

Neil A. Armstrong Scholarship Endowment

Scholarships are deeply valued by our Active brothers and their parents, and have become an important element to attract new and vibrant pledges. We have set up the Neil A. Armstrong Scholarship Endowment in order to enable us to offer these scholarships in perpetuity. We want to grow our ability to grant more scholarship dollars and at the same time keep the Phi Lodge at capacity and up to date. This long-term campaign will do both.

The goal is to raise enough money over the years to permanently pay for the scholarships from the income of the Endowment Fund and never touch the principal. That way, the scholarships will continue to be paid out long after we are gone as a Legacy Fund. This will allow ongoing repairs and updating to be funded from our annual rent payments and not from future fundraising from our Alumni as we have had to do in the past.

Educational Fund

Years ago, alumnus Bob Lowe of Indiana Theta had the foresight to create a 501(c)3 tax-deductible, educational foundation to benefit undergraduates of Indiana Theta, and provide a tax deductible giving option for you. As most of you well know, the cost of tuition and room & board across the country continues to rise while state financial support makes up less and less of the gap. The Indiana Theta of Phi Delta Theta Educational Foundation was established to help alleviate some of those financial barriers, as well as provide outstanding leadership development opportunities, and give our chapter a competitive advantage in recruiting the best of the best (see J. Clifford Turpin ’08General Donald W. Brann ’17Ed Elliott ’36Richard Kindig ’48, Robert Holloway ’48Neil Armstrong ’55Bob Lowe ’59, and Bob Bowen ’61, among others).

Every single dollar that you give to the Indiana Theta of Phi Delta Theta Educational Foundation is used for: Merit- and Leadership-Based Scholarships Leadership Development Education & Training Improving Educational spaces at our home at 503 State Street, and Updating the Computer Room and Internet access.
